Happy New Year!

Well hello there and a Happy New Year to you all!  Not only is it a new year it's also the start of a new DT position for me too.  I've been asked to join the girls over at Cards Galore and today sees the start of our1st challenge and it's a nice easy "Anything Goes" challenge which is sponsored by the fabulous

Wishing You All A Very Merry Christmas

Morning all!   A short post today I'm afraid as time is catching up with me, it's just 5 more sleeps till Santa comes.....are you all ready for the festivities?  For once I've actually finished all my shopping, now I've just got the task of wrapping them up, maybe the wee elf on my card will scatter some stardust my way and make it nice and easy ha!  Having a trip out tomorrow to see a friend from Scotland.  We meet half way to catch up and exchange our Christmas Pressies, so looking forward to seeing her.

Morning all, a bit late with my post this morning, I don't know where the time is going lately!  It's a bit quieter in here today though so I might get a bit more crafting done.  Hubby's busy sorting out the Christmas decorations for me today so I can get them up over the weekend.  Thought the Slade Song - Merry Christmas Everybody was apt for my post today as I've bought two stockings to hang this year, hope Santa's good to me and fills it to the top (I'm getting some lovely stamps and I'm sure they'll fit perfectly!).

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Well, good morning!  Are you in the Festive Spirit yet?  Over at Stampin For The Weekend we're definately getting that way with this fortnights Challenge being Feeling Festive.  It's sponsored by Live and Love Crafts so why not come and join us and win some lovely goodies.

My card today is the first I've done of my Christmas Cards (only about another dozen to do!).  I used a new Lili of the Valley Image that I bought when they last had a sale and I really enjoyed colouring it up.  They switched the Christmas Lights on here in Hull last Thursday so with that and starting my cards I'm really starting to look forward to Christmas.  I've been doing a bit of Christmas Shopping throughout the year too so not so much running about nearer the time.

Autumn/Fall Colours @ SFTW

Well it's Friday again and time for another challenge over at  

This week the challenge is Fall Colours and it's sponsored by the lovely team over at

I've used one of their stamps on my card, it's called Flower Bears Poppy and I thought it was a great image to use especially as this weekend is Remembrance Weekend.  I'll be sitting down on Saturday night to watch the service on BBC, it's lovely especially at the end when the poppies fall. Think we're heading out to a firework display earlier in the evening, I'm hoping it will be a lovely Autumn night, with Crisp Dry Air and a lovely clear sky so we can see the fireworks clearly.  Make sure if you're out and about that you wrap up warm....these nights are certainly cooling down!  I'll be back later to post some pics of last weekends Halloween shenanigans, we had a great time!

Too Cute To Spook!?

Morning all, wonder what this week will bring.  Been invited to a Halloween Party next weekend and as everyone seems to be doing Halloween cards at the moment and our latest challenge at Stampin For The Weekend is Something Spooky I thought I'd get in on the act.  We were requested to use an LOTV image if we had one and as I'd just bought this one which I've been after for ages I thought the timing worked quite well.  I'm giving my card to the party hosts to say thanks for the invite, I'll try and get plenty of pics and post a few on here next weekend!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

Morning All, hasn't the weather has really changed now? We've had a plumber in at work all week changing radiator valves and fitting a new boiler....great week he picked, my poor wee fingers are finding it hard to find the right keys as it's so cold!!

That's why my card is apt again today. I used Mollie Winter from our sponsers The Stamp Fairy over at Stampin For The Weekend. Our challenge this week is an Anything Goes Challenge so I'm looking forward to seeing all your fabulous entries. I coloured her with Promarkers and added a bit of Liquid Pearls in white opal to resemble snow and also for the fur on her jacket (see close up for effect :-) ).

Anyway off to wrap my hands around the kettle and see if I can get warmed up.

Change of Season

Hello!  Hope you're all ok today.  I've had hubby at home over the last couple of weeks as he had a bit of an argument with a forklift!  Thankfully it was just bruising and he's fit to go back to work, unfortunately there isn't any work for him at the moment so this change in the weather to dull and darker is suiting my mood again this week  :-(

I've managed to get a few cards done though so that's a bonus at least  lol.  The card today is for a friends birthday.  I loved these papers from Nitwit Collections and thought they fitted the image really well, I love the Autumn colours that are starting to come on the trees, there are some beauties enroute to work.

I'll be back on Friday with another post and as I keep promising candy I'll also make sure the details are added for that too!
