Hello Strangers!

Sorry it's been so long, have been having a bit of a break from blogging....was on holiday over Easter and did some spring cleaning instead so haven't been on the pc as much. The weather's taken a turn for the better over the last few days maybe not quite as much sun as I'd like to think the little bear in my picture is getting though! lol.

Am heading off to Clacton this weekend, daren't look at the weather forecast for that....thankfully its B.A.T.O.N Regionals and most of the time will be inside so if it does rain it won't be too bad.

Getting Ahead

Morning all, another chilly day here in Hull!  We're forecast snow later today, just to add to the biting cold wind we've already got!  Quiz night tonight at the local so hopefully it won't be too bad till later, I'm not a fan of driving in the white stuff!

My card today is another sister card (I have two lol).  I'm getting ahead of myself this year, made a few female ones last weekend and I've a few male ones waiting to be finished off...no belated cards for me this year lol.  I love it at the weekend when I've nothing on and I can play, printed a load of DP's and have just been colouring images to suit what I've printed - not like me to be this organised, wonder how long it will last!  Photo's not brilliant, I've glamour dusted the roses and the flowers on her bouquet but they're not showing up so well....can't get a decent light at all today!

With A Cherry On Top

Afternoon all, it's nice and sunny here today, long may it last!  While the boss has been away I've taken advantage and spent Friday afternoon printing off loads of lovely papers from the Nitwits Collections I bought a couple of weeks ago.  Took some time over the weekend to colour up some LOTV images and the last couple of days making them into cards.  I'm actually ahead of myself now for female birthdays when they come around.  I have quite a few birthday's throughout the year but today's was done for my sister, she's first on the list and her birthday is in May.  All in all it was quite a productive weekend, got out the oven pride too and now my ovens are lovely and sparkly again.  As I'd been busy cleaning the oven and colouring in!!  (hehe) we went out on Saturday night for a meal.  I'd got a voucher (a bit like groupon) for a restaurant out of town so myself, Hubby and my sister all went together.  Had a lovely relaxed evening and a fab 3 course meal!  No plans for this weekend either so might get a few mens cards done instead.

Spring Into Easter!

Hi all, well things didn't quite go to plan last week, had a card all made that I was supposed to post on Saturday (making it two in a week!) but had taken the picture using my phone camera.....and left my phone on my desk Friday night so didn't get the phone back until yesterday.  Had a busy day yesterday so still didn't get time to write up my post but I'm here now   lol.

Had a lovely quiet weekend catching up on some bits that needed doing around the house and making a new baby card for a neighbour who's just had a little girl.....even managed to have a wee peek at her on Sunday and she's gorgeous.

My card today was made for a friend...I used a sketch from Sketch N Stash but was too late as I say to enter the challenge (oops!) but was still chuffed with how the card turned out.

Boss is on holiday this week, won some goodies just the other week so might try and get a play with some of them later in the week.  Have a good one whatever you're up to! xx

Happy Birthday Hubby

Hi all, another funny day here in Hull, the fog's here and hasn't lifted all day.....spooky! lol

Thought I'd better sort out a card for Hubby today, it's his birthday tomorrow! Swithered about making him a cake too but time got the better of me so looks like it's a trip to Asda when I leave work today. He's had his pressies already, he wanted a new bike and I bought him a new Myth and Magic figure for his collection. I'll treat him to some chocs today and take him out for tea tomorrow and that's him sorted!

I've used a LOTV precoloured image today for his card and some lovely Nitwit papers that I bought in the sale last week. Treated myself to some nice Staples Text and Graphic paper and they've printed out just lovely!.

Might be back again this week....never been heard of before, more than one post in a week lol

Birthday Boy!

Afternoon all, is the sun shining where you are?  It is here in Hull although it's still a bit chilly!, better than it was this morning though, you couldn't see anything then for the fog!

I'm having a bit of a quiet day here today so thought I'd share the card I've done for my nephew.  He'll be 6 on his birthday next week.  He lives out in New Zealand and I've never met him or his older brother.... but my brother, his wife and the two kids are coming over in June to spend some time.  I haven't seen my brother in 5 years so it's going to be fantastic, a chance to spend some time with him and to meet two nephews who I've never ever had a cuddle from.  It's nice Skyping but it's not the same.  Hope he likes his card!

Happy Valentines Day

Afternoon everyone, Happy Valentines Day!.  Only just got round to getting on the pc, had soooo many cards to open.....not  lol  At least I know there's one waiting for me from Hubby for when I get home....and not being one for surprises, he tells me there are flowers too!  lol.  My card today is the one I've rustled up for hubby.  He's not a big card person but didn't think it was fair that I was getting a card and he wasn't.  I went back to Boofle for this one as I didn't want anything too feminine.  Decided not to go out tonight, Hubby's up for work at 3.30am so we're having M&S Valentines meal for two instead, am looking forward to it muchly.  However you spend today/tonight, hope you're having a fab Valentine's Day xx

Sweet Birthdays

Evening all.  It's a tad on the chilly side tonight.  I'm busy getting sorted out for our trip to Ipswich tomorrow.  Stepdaughters birthday weekend so should be fun.  The card I've made her used a couple of the new things I bought at the Ross Papercraft show just the other week. I bought the spirals precut for the flowers and the little metal butterflies.  It's all come together nicely  lol  I also had a try at making a sweet bouquet too and again for a first attempt it's come out not too bad!

Snow Snow Everywhere!

Afternoon all! Well thought we'd got rid of all the white stuff but it came down again last night and it's a bit on the chilly side today....perfect weather for staying in and crafting. Just had a play today, had some new Kanban card blanks and decided to turn one inside out and make it into an easel card. Bought some bits at the papercraft show last weekend - the memory box die and the decorative corner being two of them. Blinged Pom Pom up with a bit of glamour dust and tried my new Christmas pressie (Ottlite) and it's showing it up quite well....better than it would have been with the light here today.  I've picked out 3 of my favourite colours - pink, brown and cream.

I'm Back!

Hi All sorry been MIA, had such a busy Christmas and New Year that I'm only just getting back into the swing of things.  All my crafty bits had been packed away and I've been too lazy to get them out again  :-(  but had a couple of cards to make this week so they've been coming out in bits and bobs, soon won't be able to move again for all the boxes and bags!

I'm hoping to get down to Bonus Arena in Hull on Sunday there is a Ross Papercrafting show on down there and as I haven't bought any stash for a while I think it's about time I treated myself to something new!.....My new LOTV stamps I bought in the sale just before Christmas were a present for me! lol

Today's card is for a friend at work for her MIL.  She only just found out she collects Geisha ornaments and pictures so asked if I could do something along those lines.  As I didn't have time to order a stamp I had a look for a digi image and found the one I've used here also the little lanterns bought separately...details at the bottom of the post.  I used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and think it's worked out really well.  Hope you like her!
