Bank Holiday Blues!

Good Morning Everyone, how's the weather with you? It's gone a bit dull here in Hull, must be with the Bank Holiday coming up. Haven't made any plans for the weekend yet as the weather doesn't look too promising.  Hubby is recovering from his little operation so we might just have a couple of days at home (when I can colour and make cards ;-) and then maybe see about going out on Monday as it looks like it will be a bit brighter by then.

It's challenge day again over at

This week the challenge is being sponsored by
The challenge this week is FOR THE GIRLS, so we're hoping to see lots of lovely girly cards, the more ribbon, bling and sparkle the better!  I've used a stamp from LOTV this week - it's one I was given for Christmas and this is the first time I've used her but think she'll be coming out to play a lot as she's turned out lovely.  She's called Dancing Queen.  I've used the sketch from Sketch N Stash Challenge 139 for this card, this is what it looks like
And this is my finished card

Photo Inspiration At Stampin For The Weekend

Hello there!  It's been another short week again this week with the Bank Holiday but doesn't seem like I had the day off at all, roll on the next one!  We just had a lazy weekend.  Planning on having a lovely lazy day on Saturday this week too, Lili Of The Valley are celebrating their 10th Birthday and they are having an open day.  I'm not going to make it to the shop but they'll be celebrating over on facebook too so I'm planning on getting some images ready to colour while I follow all that's going on there!.  Don't know what the images will turn out like though, I've got a bottle of CAVA and some rose water essence to add to it so there might be a few bits of colouring that go over the line  hic!

Speaking of LOTV, my card today uses another of their gorgeous images.  It's my card for the latest challenge over at

This time it's a fabulous photo inspiration challenge.  We're sponsored for this challenge by the lovely SWEET STAMPS.

This is the photo we had to take inspiration from. I love this photograph, both the images and the colours were just up my street.  Pop on over and enter one of your creations, we love coming to visit your blogs!

Heavy Hearts

Morning all, I'm a little late with my card this month for the challenge over at
Time just seems to be catching up with me lately and yesterday was a sad day as my sister had to have her cat put to sleep.   She was 16 and had been part of the family since she was a kitten  :-( so I didn't get round to writing my post.
It's fitting that today's card happens to be a sympathy card (although I didn't use if for them).

While we're talking about the challenge blog can I just point out that we're struggling to give prizes away.  Some of them have been unclaimed and even after redrawing they're still waiting.  Please, if you enter the challenges don't forget to check out the winners page to see if you have been lucky!
One of our lovely teamies has sadly had to step down from her position so we are also looking for a new team member.  When you post your entry this month please add DT after your name if you'd be interested in joining.

We're being sponsored this month by

They are giving away a fantastic prize which is a THREE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION to the Inky Moon Beams Club, which includes digis stamps, sketch layouts and discounts.

My card today was done using one of their sentiments which is a lovely one to have for sympathy cards.  They're not the easiest cards to make and sometimes you just don't know what to say so this is perfect for those cards.
